Procedures for obtaining access to the facility
Prerequisites for regular users and hourly users:
- To use the facility, applicant(s) must attend the chemical safety training course offered by the MSU Office of Radiation, Chemical and Biological Safety. For information, please contact ORCBS at (517)-355-0153.
- To use the scanning electron microscope in the facility, applicant(s) must complete a SEM training course such as the one offered by the College of Natural Science through the Center for Advanced Microscopy.
Procedures for becoming regular users:
- An application form for gaining access to KMF must be submitted along with an one page proposal.
- Cleanroom training will be provided to new users.
- Once the Consent Form is signed and returned. A magnetic card will be issued to each qualified user.
Procedures for hourly users:
- An application form for gaining access to KMF must be submitted along with an one page proposal.
- Complete a Questionnaire
- Cleanroom training will be provided to hourly users.
- To start using the facility, the applicant must have the Consent Form signed and returned.
Procedures for requesting service:
- An application form must be submitted.
- Write a detailed proposal/job description for the service.
- Complete a Questionnaire.
- Submit above forms to the KMF committee for approval.
